Chiloscyllium griseum Transcriptome or Gene expression

The present study aims at tackling the existing drawbacks in the shark immunogenetic studies with the aid of a well defined transcriptomic strategy shedding light into the potential candidate genes involved in Chiloscyllium immunity. The immune and stress related genes in sharks belonging to the genera Chiloscyllium will be identified and Insertions and Deletions (Indels), single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and also anti-cancerous genes if any would be investigated. This transcriptome dataset can be used as a draft representative of large-scale catalogue of genes related to both innate and adaptive immune response in Chiloscyllium for developing disease resistance markers in higher vertebrates.
