资源简介:
The arrow drawn on the photograph points to Private George Thomas Frederick Clifford of Cheltenham. The archives of the 'Glosters' were destroyed by fire in the Second World War, unable to give any other information. Editor's Comment: Wounded men pictured in Service Dress or 'Hospital Blues', with a variety of headwear (including Scottish 'Tam O'Shanters') and Regimental capbadges (Machine Gun Corps, Royal Artillery, Rifle Corps, Fusiliers, Notts and Derby Regiment, etc.). Note that the man standing to the right of Pte. Clifford is a soldier of the Australian Imperial Force, and that the man seated, third from left, has somehow acquired a French 'Adrian' helmet.
