Relationship between sediment particle size, compaction and penetration resistance.

Data on median grain size, compaction (measured with a vane tester) and penetration resistance (measured with a light penetrometer) of intertidal sediments. These data are the source of a mathematical function showing the relationship between them presented in a paper describing a new light penetrometer for intertidal and infralittoral sediments.
