Confronting societal challenges, a unified approach for French Public Librairies

Because there is always a library that takes up a strong social challenge (young people, precariousness, inclusion of all public, free libraries, lifelong learning, gender equality, solidarity-based economy, sustainable development, search for new funding, etc.), the Bibliothèque publique d'information wanted to promote them, make these initiatives known and help them spread and multiply. To do this, we have created a series of mini online conferences that bring together the professional community every month to discuss a project, a subject or an experience. Each meeting is based around a 15-minute presentation of a project by a colleague from across France and a 15-minute question-and-answer session, but it can be extended over a long period thanks to social networks, our website and rebroadcasting of the conference. The poster will highlight the link between the themes already discussed and the SDGs, as well as the involvement of the profession and illustrate the virtues of Objective 17: partnerships to achieve the goals! In fact, this experience has led to numerous links and exchanges between colleagues who question and inspire each other. It's become a not-to-be-missed event!
