Autographa californica multiple nuclear polyhedrosis virus(AcMNPV) is an important species of baculoviruses. The insecticidal efficiency of AcMNPV-BmK IT is higher than the wild type because of the BmK IT which is an insect toxin from Buthus martensi Karsch and it can allow the insect to generate excitement palsy. In order to study the effect of AcMNPV and AcMNPV-BmK IT on Sf9 cells, we reported a reference for the transcriptome of Sf9 cells infected with AcMNPV and AcMNPV-BmK IT. To gain insight into the transcriptome that are associated with Sf9 cells infected with AcMNPV and AcMNPV-BmK IT, genome wide gene expression profile was conducted by Solexa sequencing to generate a large dataset and a comprehensive transcriptome profile for Sf9 cells. Analysis of 43127572, 46529744 and 47235310 RNA-Seq reads permitted the detection and quantification of expression levels for control, AcMNPV-BmK IT treatment (ABT) and AcMNPV treatment (AT). We identified many up-regulated and down-regulated candidate genes with significantly differentially expression in the group (ABT-AT) ,(ABT-C) and (AT-C). Those differently expressed genes were mostly enriched in many gene categories and KEGG pathways. These results provide a broad spectrum of candidate genes that are essential for understanding the molecular regulation mechanism of Sf9 cells infected with AcMNPV and AcMNPV-BmK IT.
