BLIK transactions value in Poland 2015-2023, by method

Polish mobile financial transaction application BLIK has seen a significant increase in user transactions between 2015 and 2023. E-commerce transactions have increased from 0.01 billion zloty in 2015 to nearly 126 billion zloty in 2023. Transactions via ATMs, payment terminals, and P2P between phones have also increased.Popular payment methods in Poland In 2020, Poles used various payment methods to shop online on different devices. One of them was BLIK; although the most used were online payments via Przelewy24, PayU - usually performed through PCs/laptops or smartphones. In 2022, one of the most popular forms of electronic payments was still a fast transfer through payment services such as Przelewy24 and PayU. Excluding cash on delivery, BLIK was the most secure payment method during online shopping in 2022.   Popular e-commerce payments in Poland In 2022, the most commonly offered online payment option for e-commerce platforms was card payment and the Polish mobile payment system BLIK. Polish e-customers chose PayU as the most popular payment method from 2016 to 2022. In 2022, 43 percent of Poles conducted online payments via PayU when buying online. During the COVID-19 pandemic, around 66 percent of Poles, when shopping online, were most eager to use card payments as well as quick bank transfers just as they did before the pandemic.
