This study aims to elucidate the role of annexin A1 (ANXA1) in the host cellular response to Porcine astrovirus (PAstV) infection. By comparing the transcriptomic profiles of PAstV-infected wild-type PK15 cells (PK15-WT) against genetically engineered ANXA1-knockout counterparts (PK15-ANXA1KO), we seek to identify specific genes and pathways whose expression is dependent on ANXA1 during viral infection. The primary goals are to uncover differential gene expression patterns triggered by PAstV in the presence and absence of ANXA1, thereby illuminating the molecular mechanisms through which this host protein influences viral pathogenesis or cellular defense.
