Whole-genome sequences of 9 African samples

This is the medatada associated with the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA) entry PRJEB28198.We sequenced 9 blood samples from different African populations on an Illumina HiSeq2000 sequencing platform. An in depth analysis of these and 16 other African sequences is included in "Whole-genome sequence analysis of a Pan African set of samples reveals archaic gene flow from an extinct basal population of modern humans into sub-Saharan populations", to be published in Genome Biology.
