This experiment is part of a larger study examining the anti-tumour properties of interferon epsilon in ovarian cancer. The objective of this experiment was to examine the direct activity of interferon epsilon on the mouse ovarian cancer cell line, ID8, and compare it to equivalent unit concentrations of interferon beta. The goal was to determine whether interferon epsilon and interferon beta induce different patterns of gene expression in ID8 cells. ID8 cells were stimulated with 10, 100, or 1000 IU/ml recombinant mouse interferon beta or interferon epsilon in vitro for three hours. Untreated (UT) ID8 cells were used as a reference sample for baseline gene expression. Three biological replicates were performed on separate dates, with three technical replicates for each treatment per n. Technical replicates were combined into a single sample for sequencing.
