The Extraction of Platinum Group Metals from Catalytic Converters: Non-conventionalSolvents and Pressure Effects

This study investigates the extraction of platinum group metals (PGMs) from catalytic converters using deep eutectic solvents (DESs) under both ambient and supercritical CO₂ conditions, supported by COSMO-RS screening, ADF modeling, and experimental validation. It compares the effects of DES composition, water content, and pressure on metal recovery efficiency, viscosity behavior, and residual metal content.
