Utilities Tariffs in the UK, 1970-1998

<P>Abstract copyright UK Data Service and data collection copyright owner.</P><br>The aim of this study was to use the dataset to carry out an analysis of the main changes in tariff structures of the UK utilities subject to price cap.<br><B>Main Topics</B>:<BR><br>The dataset contains information on the tariffs charged by companies operating in telecommunications, gas, electricity and water industries, and by the three BAA South of England airports. The tariffs of all the companies considered were subject to a price cap imposed by the relevant industry regulator (OFTEL, OFFER, etc.).<br>
Some US interstate telecommunications charges data for 1980-1986 are also included in file attres.xls.
