PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor material that can sufficiently fit unevenness of underfloor and reduce fall-off of fibers in peeling the floor material. SOLUTION: Multiple grooves 18 on a rear face of a plywood base material layer 10 are disposed to be spaced away from each other in a longitudinal direction of a floor material so that portions of the floor material which are divided by those grooves and spaced away from each other in a longitudinal direction of the floor material can adapt to a step of an underfloor and be relatively displaced in a thickness direction of the floor material. A fiber sheet 20， which can adapt to the displacement in the thickness direction of the floor material and suppress moisture absorption from a rear face side to the plywood base material layer 10， is attached to the rear face of the plywood base material layer 10 so as to close openings of multiple grooves 18. The fiber sheet 20 is compressed by entirely pressing from one surface and attached to the plywood base material layer 10 so that the pressed surface is a rear face. SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
