Comparative analysis of Whole Genome, metabolome, and biocontrol efficacy of High and Low Potential Strains of Trichoderma asperellum

In the study, an analysis was conducted on T. asperellum strains at the genome level. The primary objective was to identify genetic variations associated with essential traits, particularly disease suppression. To achieve this, two strains - A10 and A15 - were sequenced using advanced platforms (Illumina and Pac-bio). Genome annotations revealed significant differences in biocontrol-related genes, including CAZymes, secreted proteins, and secondary metabolites. These findings provide valuable insights for strain improvement programs targeting plant disease control.
