Transcriptomic analysis of Aedes albopictus larvae exposed to Bt-based bioinsecticides. Aedes albopictus

Aedes albopictus larvae (4th instar) have been exposed to two microbial bioinsecticides (one based on Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis and one on both Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis and Lysinibacillus sphaericus) for different time intervals depending on the dose applied. Non exposed larvae served as controls. Treatments have been performed according to WHO protocols. Whole larvae or isolated midguts were pooled: each sample was represented by the pool of 5 larvae or 5 midguts. Samples have been processed for total RNA extraction and sequencing.
