INTERNATIONAL LEGAL CHALLENGES IN THE PREVENTION AND SUPPRESSION OF ILLEGAL MIGRATION

This article examines the international legal challenges associated with the prevention and suppression of illegal migration in the context of contemporary globalization processes. The study analyzes the role of international legal instruments, cooperation mechanisms between states, and the activities of international organizations aimed at combating illegal migration. Particular attention is paid to issues related to the harmonization of national legislation, protection of migrants’ rights, prevention of human trafficking, and improvement of cross-border cooperation. The article identifies existing gaps in international legal regulation and proposes directions for strengthening effective mechanisms for preventing and combating illegal migration. The research emphasizes the importance of coordinated actions of states based on international law principles, mutual responsibility, and respect for fundamental human rights.
