We have sequenced the tear transcriptome of the male NOD mouse, a mouse model of autoimmune dacryoadenitis associated with Sjogrens Syndrome, to identify potential tear biomarkers. We used male NOD mice, aged 12 to 14 weeks and age and sex matched male BALBc mice as healthy controls. Additionally, age matched female NOD mice that do not develop the autoimmune dacryoadenitis characteristic of Sjogrens Syndrome, were used as negative controls.
