Sussex Historic Landscape Characterisation (HLC)

Dataset of the Sussex Historic Landscape Characterisation (HLC) project identifying areas or units of land (which become the HLC polygons) based on their key historic landscape attributes. It was a desk-based exercise with no field work or checking and it has been undertaken as a broad-brush approach to provide a first step to understanding the historic time-depth of a given area.
