Euphausia superba Genome sequencing. Euphausia superba

Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba) has one of the largest and most complex genomes currently sequenced. To overcome the challenges of assembling the repeat-rich and giant genome, we sequenced approximately 2.81 Tb of Illumina paired-end short reads (62 coverage) and 4.59 Tb of PacBio single-molecule long reads (100 coverage), and applied multiple approaches to assemble the genome.
