Five lithic artifacts from site 32OL338 near Center, North Dakota, were submitted for protein
residue analysis. This site is a stone ring site. Artifacts were recovered during screening;
therefore, no associated soil control samples are available. Protein residue analysis is used to
determine if proteins are present on the artifacts that would provide information concerning animal
resources hunted/processed by the site occupants.
