We tested if acidified drinking water (administered from postnatal day 21) provides disease-modifying effects in the Cln2R207X nonsense mutant mouse model of late infantile CLN2 Batten disease. The effect of acidified drinking water on the altered gut microbiota composition of Cln2R207X mice was also examined.
