资源简介:
Beetles were sampled using window traps at in the same locations
within the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, New Hampshire, in
1973-1977 and again in 2015-2017. Samples were collected from late May
through early August, but the number of weeks sampled differed among
years. Most individuals collected were identified to the family level.
For statistical analyses, counts by taxon for all samples were
adjusted to a 48-hr collection period by simple linear interpolation.
These data were gathered as part of the Hubbard Brook Ecosystem Study
(HBES). The HBES is a collaborative effort at the Hubbard Brook
Experimental Forest, which is operated and maintained by the USDA
Forest Service, Northern Research Station.
These data have been published in Harris, J.E., Rodenhouse, N.L. and
Holmes, R.T., 2019. Decline in beetle abundance and diversity in an
intact temperate forest linked to climate
warming. Biological
Conservation, 240, p.108219.
