The early-microbiome has been found to play a role in infant growth and obesity development, though the role of fungi in this context is unknown. Stool samples collected during the first year of life in a sub cohort of the pan Canadian CHILD cohort study underwent ITS2 sequencing. This study aimed to investigate the role of the early-life gut mycobiome on BMI z-score outcomes.
