Data used in the Draft Scientific Basis Report Supplement in support of proposed Voluntary Agreements for the Sacramento River, Delta, and Tributaries Update to the San Francisco Bay/Sacrament-San Joaquin Delta Water Quality Control Plan

This dataset includes modeled data describing the potential outcomes of the Voluntary Agreements (VA’s) for updating the Water Quality Control Plan for the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Estuary (Bay-Delta Plan). The State Water Board is in the process of evaluating and considering the VAs, including preparing necessary environmental documentation and other technical analyses. The Final Draft Scientific Basis Report Supplement in Support of Proposed Voluntary Agreements for the Sacramento River, Delta, and Tributaries Update to the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Water Quality Control Plan (Draft Supplement Report) is part of that process and has been prepared to document the science supporting the proposed provisions included in the VAs. The data presented in the report include modeled flows in the major tributaries to the Sacramento River, modeled Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta outflow, area of available salmonid habitat for different flow and restoration scenarios, area of available longfin smelt, delta smelt, and Chinook salmon habitat in the estuary under different flow and restoration scenarios, and predicted changes to populations of estuarine fishes under different flow scenarios.
