The aim of this study was to characterize the ewe vaginal microbiota before and after lambing in relation to lamb nasal microbiota. Swabs were used to collect vaginal and nasal samples from ewes and lambs. DNA was extracted from the swabs and the 16S rRNA was amplified and sequenced on an Illumina MiSeq platform.
