资源简介:
Soil samples were examined for pollen, phytoliths, or macrofloral
remains from two sites near Buda, Texas. In addition, selected wood remains
and two botanical samples were identified. These samples were examined to
identify paleoenvironmental changes at these sites and to identify evidence
of the vegetal portion of the subsistence base. Site 41HY202 contains two
components, one occupied during the Late Prehistoric, the other during the
Archaic. Site 41HY209 was sampled in both the Terrace and Midden areas,
which represent distinct occupations. The terrace area exhibits evidence of
a Late Prehistoric occupation with a Toyah component.
