Allusion 2: External Communication for SAE L4 Vehicles (06-007)

Project Description: The purpose of this study was to evaluate specific HAV external communication design parameters in both static and dynamic settings and from a driver or pedestrian road user perspectives. Data Scope: Forty participants observed external communication displays on two vehicles that emulated L4+ AVs. Every participant viewed four different testing scenarios that were repeated for multiple trials. Participants made a crossing decisions and complete rankings on their understanding of the displays for each trial. Data Specification: Please see Data Specification document.
