Female flies(<i>esg-Gal4&gt;GFP</i>) from untreated (UT) and early injury (EI) groups were mixed in the same cage. At 16 and 24 days of age, 20 midguts from untreated (UT) and early injured (EI) flies were dissected in 1x sterile PBS solution and commensal genomic DNA was extracted using the TIANamp Genomic DNA Kit (TIANGEN Biotech, Cat# DP304-02). The 16s rDNA sequencing library construction and sequencing process were performed by Majorbio Bio-Pharm Technology Co.
