Evaluation of expression-based candidate gene prioritization tools.

Genes within 11 mapped genetic intervals for 10 neuropsychiatric and two skeletal disorders were retrospectively ranked by UGET, Genedistiller, Endeavor by gene expression correlation to either known disease genes or genes which play important roles in an associated biological process. Grey boxes indicate that the disease gene was ranked in the top five candidates using the tool.
