Diversity and and metabolic prediction of microbial communities in marine sediments surrounding Phu Quoc island in Vietnam

Ten marine sediments sampling at three sites away 20 km from the Northwestern coast of Phu Quoc island and at 20-25 meters in depth. The island has only to seasons (rainy and dry seasons) and climate in this area is quite warm without rigorous changes of temperature over the year. The main goals of this study is to assess the diversity of the bacterial structures of 10 above mentioned marine-sediment samples and predict the crucial metabolism of some microbial groups based on analyzing the microbiome, 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) gene amplicons and shotgun metagenomics.
