Transcriptomic analysis of Carassius auratus var. Dongting and Carassius auratus gibelio

To investigate the morphological and molecular mechanisms underlying scale tightness versus looseness, selected CaDT and the allogynogenetic gibel carp Zhongke No. 3 (Carassius auratus gibelio, hereafter CaGB)as our study subjects. To elucidate the molecular basis of this phenotypic divergence, we conducted comprehensive RNA sequencing analysis of three critical tissues: scale sac, skin, and muscle from both crucian carps.
