Additional file 6: Table S6. Prediction performance of phase of rhythmicity. Performance of phase of rhythmicity prediction in the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) and the antrum of the stomach (ANT) based on a selected set of transcripts (number of predictor genes) from one (1-sample based) or two (2-sample based) blood samples using a Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) model. Performance is evaluated using R2, median absolute error, error mean and standard deviation (sd), and proportion of samples with error within 1, 2 or 3 hours. The PLSR models were trained using a training set from the sleeping in-phase dataset and performance was evaluated using validation sets from the sleeping in-phase or sleeping out-of-phase datasets.
