Free Flowing Rivers Data Subset

These shapefiles are a subset of the Free Flowing Rivers Database. Each file is selected by Degree of Regulation(DOR): >0 to 5, >5 to 10, >10 to 20, and >20. The range is indicated in the file name. There are two sets of shapefiles - Current DOR (existing dams) and future DOR (planned dams).The documentation included provides metadata. DOR is an index of impact, reported as a percent. Calculation based on the relationship between storage volume of a reservoir and the total annual river flow volume.
