Data files: In the U data file, u_era5 represents the ERA5 zonal wind at pressure levels, v2 represents the zonal wind in the CTL experiment and w2 represents the zonal wind in the NHE experiment at pressure levels. In the V file, u_era5 represents the ERA5 meridional wind, v2 represents the meridional wind in the CTL experiment and w2 represents the meridional wind on pressure levels in the NHE experiment. In the T file, u_era5 represents the ERA5 temperature, v2 represents temperature in the CTL experiment and w2 represents temperature at pressure levels in the NHE experiment. The ugwd_ctl variable in the Ugwd file represents the zonal gravity wave drag in the CTL experiment, and the ugwd_nhe variable represents the zonal gravity wave drag at pressure levels in the NHE experiment.The vgwd_ctl variable in the Vgwd file represents the meridional gravity wave drag in the CTL experiment, and the vgwd_nhe variable represents the meridional gravity wave drag at pressure levels in the NHE experiment. Code files: The GWD_KD05 file represents the hydrostatic orographic gravity wave parameterization scheme and the GWD_NHE file represents the modified nonhydrostatic orographic gravity wave parameterization scheme.
