Adolescents and parents HPV Knowledge - 2015

This data is part of a cross-sectional study performed at the health unit of Sao Paulo University, Brazil, from 2015 to 2016. A convenience sample including adolescents and parents/guardians answered a 24-item survey. The survey was composed of sociodemographic factors (sex, marital status, number of children, professional status, family income, schooling) and had 24 questions measuring: Knowledge about HPV and its clinical repercussions; Knowledge about the HPV vaccine; Barriers to the HPV vaccination; and HPV vaccine acceptability. The answer options were “yes”, “no” and “I am not certain”. A score of (0) for an incorrect answer and (1) for a correct answer was attributed to each question.
