Number of BlackRock funds worldwide in July 2023, by fund type and region

As of July 31, 2023, the majority of funds owned by the world's largest asset management company, BlackRock, were either restricted to North American financial assets, or comprised of global assets. Of the 1,093 funds BlackRock operated, in total at this time, 1,017 were in either of these two regions. For both these regions, the majority of funds were mutual funds, with most of the remainder being exchange traded funds (ETFs).
