RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ANTONOMASIA AND OTHER LEXICAL LAYERS OF LANGUAGE

In linguistics, the phenomenon of antonomasia stands out distinctly because of its specific mode of use and strong stylistic impact. English poets and writers employ names in an unusual manner in literary works in order to impart a strong stylistic coloring to their content. This, in turn, contributes to the rapid popularization of a work among readers. From this perspective, the present article analyzes the ways in which antonomastic units are used by the author in literary works.
