Population genomics of ancient elkhorn coral, Acropora palmata

Shotgun sequencing and targeted hybrid capture enrichment were used to generate genomic data from ancient Acropora palmata samples collected from two regions that harbor genetically distinct contemporary populations, Florida and U.S. Virgin Islands. The dataset includes genome wide shotgun reads and capture data for 5000 loci from two archaeological time slices bracketing the regional reef gap. These data enable reconstruction of historical population structure, and demographic change compared to modern population.
