Complete genome sequence of ST2725 vancomycin-intermediate Staphylococcus aureus JARB-OU3000 isolated from a Japanese patient with fatal mediastinitis post-VAC therapy following TEVAR

We experienced a fatal case of mediastinitis after VAC therapy following TEVAR caused by ST2725-type vancomycin-intermediate Staphylococcus aureus (VISA) JARB-OU3000 and heterogeneous VISA (hVISA) JARB-OU2999. To investigate the characteristics of these strains, we conducted whole genome sequencing.
