Proportion of Urban, Town and Suburban Population. This metric represents the share of total population residing in Local Administrative Units 2 (LAU2) classified as urban, town or suburban areas. The categorization of LAU2 into these three types is based on urbanization degree projections from LUISA. The population count for urban, town and suburban areas is computed using the total population of the corresponding LAU2 units, rather than gridded population data.
