Frugivory interactions database for five different areas surrounding the Ponta da Castanha archaeological site, Central Amazonia, Brazil

This database provides information on the floristic composition of five distinct forest landscapes (two Brazil nut stands, an old fallow, a transitional forest, and a mature forest), along with data on the animals that feed on the fruits of the plant species found in these environments. The dataset includes: (i) a FULL Data Table, where each row represents an interaction between a plant species and an animal taxonomic group within a specific landscape; (ii) five landscape-specific tables, each in the form of a binary matrix. In these matrices, rows correspond to fruiting plant species, columns to frugivores, and cell values indicate the presence (1) or absence (0) of interactions. Floristic data were obtained through primary field surveys, while information on frugivorous animals was compiled from a literature review.
