Time-series 30-m ecosystem maps from 1985 to 2024 in the Yangtze River Delta, China (YRD_EMD)

The Yangtze River Delta Ecosystem Map Dataset (YRD_EMD) provides an accurate, 30-m resolution time-series mapping of ecosystems across the YRD, China, from 1985 to 2024 (16 temporal epochs). Generated using multi-source remote sensing data (Landsat time-series, Sentinel-1 SAR) on Google Earth Engine, this dataset integrates the Continuous Change Detection (CCD) algorithm and a Hierarchical Classification Strategy (HCS). Validation against visual interpretation and third-party samples demonstrated high reliability, yielding a mean overall accuracy of 91.21% for the 8 major categories and 86.15% for the 15 detailed subclasses.
