Microarray analysis of OVSAHO and KURAMOCHI cells incubated with simvasatin or L-778123

To extract genes that are regulated in ovarian cancer cell lines OVSHO and KURAMOCHI when cultured with statin compared to when cultured with L-778123. Total RNA was extracted from OVSAHO and KURAMOCHI cells incubated with simvastatin or L-778123 using RNeasy Mini Kits (Qiagen, Hilden, Germany) in combination with RNase-free DNase (Qiagen). The quality of RNA was assessed using the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer (Agilent, Santa Clara, CA, USA). The RNA samples were labeled using Low Input Quick Amp Labeling kits (one-color; Agilent) and then hybridized to the Agilent SurePrint G3 Human Gene Expression version 3.0 Microarray (Agilent) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The arrays were scanned using the Agilent DNA microarray scanner G2505C (Agilent).
