Thermosalinometer TRANSMED, Cap Camarat, intermediate data set

Data of the thermosalinometer (TRANSMED system) on board the MV Cap Camarat: Sea Surface Temperature (SST) and Sea Surface Salinity (SSS)are recorded underway at ~2m deep, between Marseilles (MRS) and Algeria. Data in (near)real time are available on Coriolis, GOSUD and MyOcean. Data are checked at intermediate level on a ~monthly basis and sent to HyMeX/SEDOO . BEFORE USING THIS DATA SET, CHECK THE AVAILIBILITY OF THE DEFINITIVE DATA SET <br />
Data set to link with the definitive data set (following the yearly recalibaration of sensors), and with SEOS atmospheric sensors (HyMeX TS6b).<br />
TRANSMED is also fostered by the CIESM (www.ciesm.org).<br />

Observing strategy: <br />
Flow-through thermosalinometer SBE 45 + high quality temperature sensor SBE 38 embedded in the TRANSMED system record SST and SSS underway at ~2m deep on a ship of opportunity. Data are transmitted in (near)real time (hourly files). Weekly rotations between MRS and Algeria.
