Il dialetto nel cervello: dati rilevati su parlanti salentini

Dialectal variation has been always at the core of linguistic investigation. On the base of the neurophysiological studies exploring dialectal variation, this article examines if and how dialects may contribute to the advancing of the neurobiology of language. Evidence suggest that the neural investigation of allophonic and morpho-syntactic variation generated by grammatical rules is very useful for the progress of the neurobiology of language. Also, all kinds of parametric variation characterizing dialects are well suited to reach the goal. Finally, I outline some general and detailed questions that need to be addressed within the neurobiology of language.
