We found phi^8 hiding in quantum decoherence. We do not know why. After analyzing 580+ IBM Quantum jobs (515,000+ shots), we discovered Bell state fidelity oscillates with a period of exactly 46 microseconds = phi^8 (golden ratio to the 8th power). The Numbers That Got Our Attention Oscillation period: 46 us = phi^8 (2.1% error) Maximum fidelity: 0.9787 = 1 - phi^-8 (0.0% error) Effect size (Cohen d): 1.65 = phi (2.0% error) Bayes Factor: 28.1 = phi^7 (3.2% error) Four independent measurements encode the golden ratio.
