Body Dissatisfaction and Instagram use - Dataset

The project aimed to explore the effects of viewing appearance focussed Instagram posts on males’ and females’ body satisfaction levels. The 15-minute online study involved short exposure to gender matched Instagram images. Participants’ body satisfaction levels where measured at two points (before and after scrolling through 100 images), and change in body satisfaction was compared between genders.
