资源简介:
These files consist of the do-files and data for reproducing results presented in the article, "The Effects of Income Fluctuations on Under-nutrition and Over-nutrition Across the Lifecycle" (Kosec and Song, 2021). The data files were constructed from Kyrgyz Integrated Household Survey (KIHS) spanning from 2004 to 2016. KIHS is a nationally-representative rotating panel household survey carried out since 2003. The panel replaced up to 25 percent of the sample every year until 2013, when an entirely new sample was selected. The primary respondent of KIHS is typically the household head, with the exception of modules about women’s health and fertility, which are completed by all female household members aged 15–49. Income data were collected quarterly, but for several years, we could only obtain annual aggregates; we thus aggregated income data across quarters in each year. As comparable income data are not available for 2003, we rely on 2004–2016 income data. Data on child anthropometrics are available starting in 2005, so our unbalanced panel analysis includes outcomes for 2005–2016. In total, we have 14,004 unique individuals from 4677 households in our main sample for analysis used in the paper.
