Multi-proxy paleoecological and geochemical dataset from Lake Stadtsee (Germany), ca. 1300–1900 CE

This dataset comprises high-resolution paleoenvironmental data derived
from lake sediments of Lake Stadtsee (Bad Waldsee, southwestern
Germany), covering the period from approximately 1300 to 1900 CE. The
data were generated to reconstruct long-term trophic, ecological, and
biogeochemical changes in the lake in response to climatic variability
and pre-industrial human activities.

The dataset includes:

1) Biological proxy data: diatom assemblages, cladoceran remains,
chironomid head capsules, bryozoan statoblasts, ostracods, and
cladoceran ephippia,

2) Geochemical data: μ-XRF elemental counts (Al, Si, K, Ca, Ti, Mn, Fe,
Rb, Sr) and derived elemental ratios (Si/Ti, Mn/Fe, Rb/K, Fe/Ti),

3) Elemental and isotopic measurements: TOC, TN, TOC/TN ratios, δ¹³C,
δ¹⁵N, δ¹⁸O, and carbonate δ¹³C,
