The eNAMPT/ TLR4 Inflammatory Cascade Drives the Severity of Intra-amniotic Inflammation in Pregnancy and Predicts Infant Outcomes

eNAMPT is a critical contributor to intra-amniotic inflammation (IAI) severity and neonatal morbidity. Importantly we show that biologic neutralization of eNAMPT with a humanized mAb, ALT-100, reduces IAI -induced preterm births and morbidities. The eNAMPT -neutralizing ALT-100 mAb may directly address the urgent need for therapeutic strategies that attenuate the severity of IAI during pregnancy and reduce the incidence of severe morbidities in preterm births.
