P. tunicoides is a tradional Chinese medicine that has many effects such as pain relief, coagulative, and blood circulation promotions and is listed as a frequently-endangered species. Therefore, to improve the adaptability of the selection performance of plants is essential to plant domestication. In this study, roots and rhizosphere soils were collected from both wild (WI) and cultivated P. tunicoides plants of different ages 1year, two years and three years (1Y, 2Y, and 3Y). Metabolite and transcript data were generated from the roots, while microbiota data were obtained from the rhizospheres.
